Nestled in the heart of Puno, Colonial Plaza enchanted me with its warm hospitality and culinary delights. The hotel's strategic location allowed easy access to various dining venues, including the lively Cafe Bar de la Casa del Corregidor just a stone's throw away. One evening, seeking a taste of local flavors, I wandered into La Casona Restaurant nearby. The ambiance was inviting, and the aroma of traditional Peruvian dishes filled the air. Their innovative use of ingredients caught my attention; the avocado and puffed quinoa salad left a lasting impression.For breakfast, Mareas Ceviche & Mas stole the show with a vibrant spread of fresh juices, assorted bread, and the subtly delightful avocado toast. The combination of flavors was a testament to Peru's rich culinary heritage.Colonial Plaza not only provided a comfortable stay but also served as a gateway to Puno's gastronomic treasures.
